I do believe I will stop at the drive up and get me some sweets on my way back home.

There is only one of me in this garden so I have been moved to the shady spot by the front door.

I have the best seat in the house.  I also am a little flawed, but aren’t we all.

The Past Meets the Present

Home by Edgar Albert Guest : The Poetry Foundation.

One of my favorite poems about the home is by Edgar Guest.   Take a moment to read it.

I ran across some pictures I took last fall of an old farm.  I love taking pictures of these homes that have a story to tell.   I wonder how many children were raised in this home?  Were they well cared for; happy and healthy?  What were some of their chores and where were their favorite hiding places?  What were their happiest moments and their saddest?  Just wondering…. what did they grow up to be?  I’m hoping life went well for these folks.

Aside

My yard is filled with noise this week.  The Carolina Wren in the Oak tree, the House Wren in the brush and checking out my house I have hung in the Birch tree, the Purple Finch in my Boston fern, the Robin’s nest in the neighbor’s gutter, the Catbirds with their meowing right before bedtime, the Mockingbirds, the Nuthatch with his “yank yank” sounds, the woodpeckers both Downey and Red-headed, and of course the Sparrows, Cardinals, and Bluejays. Throw in the bunny friend I’ve made in the last few days that is gorging himself on my lawn(which is filled with goodies of every kind because I do not spray), and it makes it hard for Puppy and me to peel ourselves away from the activity and blue skies with white fluffy clouds.

Greens for breakfast, lunch and dinner today for one of my sides as the doctor suggested and washing it down with a new kombucha flavor…Celestial Seasonings meyer lemon ginger YUM!!! Retiring with a new yoga dvd and waking up to a fresh page of life to color as I wish tomorrow.

More like photograph but you know what i mean 🙂

“Just ramblin”

Another rainy day here today with breaks of sunshine.  Just enough time to keep up with my backyard friend.  I hope he is one of the two that were born early this spring under my oregano.  He has gotten very comfortable with me over the last few days. Even with the hollering at the dog not to chase him did not scare him off.  It probably scared a few neighbors though….have a pretty passionate holler when necessary.Image

Trying to incorporate more days in my schedule for yoga.  So helpful for me! Touched base with my new doctor and went shopping with Puppy for some healthy food at our local natural food store.

Hoping to have one of my grandson over for the night this week.  Maybe tomorrow.

I’ll leave you with some more shots and talk to ya later.

Spring break

Standard

O.K. folks…

It’s been a while since I have been here but I am back.  After a very long winter in our part of town, spring/summer has arrived. April and May are my favorite months but not this year.  It was still snowing here in May.  Ridiculous! So……………..I went to the beach to refresh my spirit and clear my mind.  So glad I did!!!

I am hoping to start a new business before the summer is over and HOPEFULLY write a book with a friend in the near future. We will see how it all goes.  I also am attending a counseling class over the summer and seeing an alternative new doctor for ongoing health issues. No drugs just supplements.  I will keep you posted on my progress.

Learning new things about this human body that are amazing.  How the mind can hurt or heal our bodies has been very interesting. Still evolving in my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self.

Now that  the weather is nicer I have been doing a lot of picture taking.  A passion that I love.

Don’t know how my straw bale garden is going to turn out this year with all the weird weather we have had so I kind of bought me a garden at the city market.  Potted tomatoes, multicolored peppers, cucumbers, lettuce bowl and a chard spinach bowl.

Big thunderstorm this morning but now the sun is shining brightly again.  My clue to get away from the computer and get some sunshine.
